Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference and Public Protection Notice forms

All providers

In conjunction with Pan-Dorset Safeguarding Children Partnership, we have established a secure process to exchange information on incidents of domestic abuse where it was attended by, and therefore recorded by, the police. The incident report of police interaction with vulnerable people are called Public Protection Notices and will include domestic abuse incidents.

Information is also shared when a Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC), a local, multi-agency victim-focused meeting, is held for the highest risk cases of domestic violence and abuse.

The agreed exchange process allows for limited information as an alert, to be shared with children’s centres, registered early years settings, childminders, schools and colleges, that are attended by children and/or young people who live within our area. This is where they may have been involved, or potentially subject, to the impact of such an incident, or are of a high risk.

This alert will not contain the details of the incident as that information remains the property of Dorset Police.

We will only exchange information securely, with settings that have agreed to abide by the joint procedures, and you have 'signed' to confirm that you wish to receive this information exchange.

Details on what to do if your setting receives an alert is included in the attached documents. Future training opportunities for domestic abuse and MARAC will be available in the future.
