Following a period of engagement with residents, businesses, local community groups, staff and youth groups, BCP Council’s Cabinet will now consider an updated version of its Corporate Strategy.

BCP Council sought the views of the public between 5 August – 6 September. All 24 libraries across the conurbation held the information and questionnaires, whilst roadshow events were held in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole in early September.

2,176 respondents took part in the survey, which included feedback from DOTS Disability, Dorset LEP, Dorset Wildlife Trust and Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Cllr Vikki Slade, Leader of BCP Council, said: "It was so important that we gave our residents, businesses and interested community groups the opportunity to comment on this hugely important strategy. BCP Council’s Corporate Strategy will underpin everything we do- so it is vital that we get it right.

"I’m pleased that so many took the time to give their view, which has significantly influenced what will be presented to Cabinet next week.

"This is a high level document which confirms BCP Council’s values, priorities and objectives. Once this strategy is agreed, work will begin to ensure that everything we do, and all our decision-making supports this strategy, so it is essential that this strategy is strengthened by a detailed delivery plan."
