We manage greenspaces across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. Three internal teams take part in this management:

  • the Parks Operations team look after mowing, gardening and general maintenance
  • the Countryside team manages land and livestock at nature reserves, heathlands and clifftops
  • the Greenspace Development team look after master planning, development and improvement of greenspaces.

Parks Operations can be reached at parks@bcpcouncil.gov.uk. The Countryside team and Greenspace Development can be reached at greenspaces@bcpcouncil.gov.uk.

Further information on our projects can be found on our BCP Projects website.

The Parks Foundation

The Parks Foundation is an independent charity that aims to enhance parks and greenspaces in our area by fundraising for improvements outside of what BCP Council already provides.

The Foundation are publicly funded through donations from grants, individuals, major donors and trading activities. There is a legal agreement between The Parks Foundation and BCP Council so that we can work closely together and be transparent in our decision making.

The Parks Foundation has fundraised for community growing beds, wildlife ponds, educational events and additional tree planting. There are also several park cafes managed by The Parks Foundation.

Further information on their projects can be found on The Parks Foundation's website, where you can also contact The Parks Foundation directly.

You can see more details about our working relationship with The Parks Foundation in our Memorandum of Understanding.
