Council housing

Private rented accommodation

If your privately rented property needs repairs to bring it up to a decent standard, then this is your landlord’s responsibility. You can get advice from our private tenancy team about housing standards.

Housing association

If your housing association property needs repairs to bring it up to a decent standard, then this is your housing association landlord’s responsibility. You can get advice from your landlord, who will advise you of what improvements they can help you with.
