Report a street light issue

Repair schedule

Once reported it normally takes up to 10 working days to fix an issue.

However, there is currently a shortage of certain components worldwide. This affects our supply chain and whilst always try to make repairs in a timely manner, it does mean that some are taking considerably longer than usual.

How to report a fault

We carry out night time inspections once every 28 days, to check that streetlights and illuminated signs are operational.

If you are reporting a dangerous fault such as a leaning or damaged street light or exposed electrical wires, please call us on 01202 123 123 during office hours or 0800 506 050 out of office hours.

Let us know if you see a street light, lamp post, lit bollard, subway light or lit sign that is:

  • flickering/flashing
  • still on in the day
  • not on at night
  • late coming on

You will also need to tell us:

  • the nearest house number and road name
  • or the lamp number
