Apply for an older persons bus pass

Older person's bus pass

This pass allows free off-peak travel on local buses everywhere in England. Off-peak hours are from 9:30am until 11pm Monday to Friday and all day at weekends and bank holidays.

You can apply for an older person's bus pass if you have reached the state pension age and are a permanent resident of the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area.

To find out when you become eligible for your bus pass, check your state pension age on GOV.UK.

To confirm your address is in the BCP area, you can check which council area you're in. If you have a second home, you must apply to the council where your main home is.
