Turlin Moor

A coastal nature reserve that’s an excellent spot for birdwatching over the harbour.

At its eastern edge, the reserve borders Turlin Moor Recreation Ground. There’s also a children's play area where the reserve meets Foreland Road.

Entrance

The nearest postcode is BH16 5DW. There’s an entrance to Turlin Moor on South Haven Close at the reserve’s western edge.

Boat users can access the site by mooring in the shallow water of Lychett Bay.

Parking

There’s an onsite car park at Turlin Moor Recreation Ground on Blandford Road.

Dogs

Dogs must be on a short lead when livestock is near and during the bird breeding season from 1 March to 31 July. At other times dogs must be under close control.

Habitats

Saltmarsh, reed beds and grassland.
