Due to the presence of high winds and to prevent further damage, we will be lowering the Twin Sails Bridge today (Friday 27 September) at 4:30pm. It will be lifted again when the weather improves. The bridge remains closed until repairs are carried out later this autumn.
In order to maintain the statutory right of way for marine traffic, we will be raising the bridge as soon as the wind speeds are within the safe working limits.
