BCP Council is committed to ensuring that all our decision making is open and transparent. This remains the case, despite the Coronavirus pandemic that we now face.
The next Council meeting is due to take place on Tuesday 31 March 2020 and you can view the agenda here.
We are waiting for the government to change the law so that our councillors can participate and vote in meetings without the need to be physically present and we are hoping this will be in place before 31 March.
Due to the government’s guidance to limit the spread of Coronavirus, along with our commitment to help protect our residents, councillors and staff, we will not be bringing all 76 councillors, democratic staff and the public in one meeting room. We are now looking at alternative ways to allow BCP Council the opportunity to ensure at least our business critical decisions can be made in a safe environment. We hope that a digital solution will be sought so people can attend and take part virtually, without being present.
