We help organise Give or Take Days to help people give away unwanted items that might end up in a landfill.
It doesn't cost anything to donate your items, and you don't have to donate anything in order to take something away for free.
You can give:
- DVDs and CDs
- garden tools and small garden items (not furniture)
- clothes and reusable fabric - like sheets, curtains and towels
- toys
- bicycles
- books
- kitchen items (not electric appliances)
- small electrical items
You cannot give:
- furniture (sofas, chairs, mattresses, pillows)
- hazardous or toxic materials such as paint
- electrical or gas appliances
- broken or damaged items
- tools that need safety equipment to use
- white goods (fridges, washing machines)
- TVs
At most events, we have safety experts who test all electrical items for safety before they are given to new owners.
