Help with business regulations

We’re helping businesses in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area to grow by making business regulations easier to access and understand.

Taking care of business and customers

You could be looking for information on how best to take care of your business, in areas such as consumer credit, pest control, street trading, business contracts or trademarks.

Or maybe you want advice on taking care of your customers. This could include guidance on regulations relating to weights and measures, labelling, safe food preparation or trade descriptions.

Looking after your environment

We're also here to help you protect your environment. Our environmental advice covers everything from petroleum storage and the disposal of hazardous waste to noise nuisance and air quality.

Advice from our experts

Our initial advice is always free and could save you money in the long run. Detailed advice, visits or consultancy may incur a charge, but we’ll tell you in advance should this apply.

We will be clear if we’re unable to provide further advice and may be able to direct you to others who can assist.

We can also tell you about the licences and permits.

Our environmental health, Trading Standards and licensing officers will always aim to provide impartial and confidential advice. However, we may be under a duty to investigate any potential breaches of relevant legislation we find.
