Training

Age Friendly Training runs quarterly and covers topics such as "what is an Age Friendly Community", Age Friendly Communication and Ageism Awareness.

Funding information

Sign up to our What Funds newsletter for the latest funding opportunities available to local residents and businesses.

The Age Friendly Network also has a Grassroots Kickstarter Pot to develop grassroots activity in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area. Use the Age Friendly Grassroots application form to apply. You can only apply for the Grassroots fund once per year.

BCP Council and the Community Action Network have a funding portal to explore your funding options.

Forum meetings

The Age Friendly Network has regular face to face forum meetings. These meetings take place twice a year, with invitations sent out through the Age Friendly Newsletter.

Age Friendly ambassadors

By becoming an Age Friendly ambassador, you could:

  • hear more about the improvements in our area to support people to age well
  • share information with your colleagues and friends about what is happening in your local area
  • have your say and encourage others to share their thoughts about how together we can create communities where you can live a healthy and active later life

Please email communities@bcpcouncil.gov.uk or call 01202 126 723 if you are interested in becoming an ambassador.
