After the recent Ofsted SEND inspection we want to work with parents and carers to improve services and support for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

You can share your views in several different ways – for example, by joining us at one of our friendly and welcoming online sessions (see dates below) or simply sharing your experiences via email.

Online sessions are taking place this week and next on:

  • Wednesday 6 October 10.30am
  • Monday 11 October 5.30pm
  • Tuesday 12 October 10.30am

The online sessions are an opportunity to come together virtually over a cup of tea, meeting other parent carers, senior leaders from the council and health, to share what isn’t working and any ideas you have for making it better. Each session will last for about 1 ½ hours and most of the time will be spent in small groups so more people get a chance to talk or contribute through the ‘chat function’.

Please email Rosie at sendimprovement@bcpcouncil.gov.uk saying which session you want to join, or to find out more about other opportunities to get involved.
