Planning Service Status

Service Status - Clearance Period, 20 June 2022

Following two recent successful Clearance Weeks, we continue to work hard to improve our planning service. With an increase in planning applications, the priority continues to be our proactive approach to address the backlog.

For us to fully focus on processing applications and issuing decisions to our valued customers, our whole planning team will undertake a new Clearance Period.

The next Clearance Period will be from Monday 20 June until Friday 1 July 2022.

During these ten working days, our customer service team will be available to provide limited planning information, but our planning colleagues will not be able to take direct enquiries.

Updates on planning applications will be responded to at the earliest opportunity after Monday 4 July 2022.

We know that this approach will again have a positive impact for applicants and their agents who are waiting for their proposed developments to be determined. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience.

If you would like to view details or comment upon a planning application, you may do so on the planning and building control page by simply entering the planning reference number or address of the site.
