Beach and parks residents parking permit in the Poole area
Residents in the Poole area are able to purchase a beach and parks season ticket at a concessionary price that allows the permit holder to park for an unlimited period of time in the beach car parks and on-street ‘pay and display’ areas.
You can register more than one vehicle on your online account and then nominate which vehicle you need to park, as and when required. It is important to ensure the vehicle you have parked is the vehicle active on your account.
A resident's beach season ticket is currently £147 per year and is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
This permit is only available for Poole residents and lets you park at:
- Banks Road (on street)
- Beach Road
- Branksome Chine
- Branksome Dene Chine
- Brudenell Ave (pay and display area)
- Brudenell Road
- Chaddesley Glen (lower)
- Hamworthy Park
- Haven Road (upper)
- Lake Pier
- Rockley View Point (Ham Common)
- Sandbanks
- Sandbanks Peninsular excluding Ferry Way car park
- Sandbanks Road
- Shore Road (on and off street)
- Skateboard Park (Baiter)
- Western Road
- Whitecliff Park.
You will need to apply separately for parking at Upton Country Park.
The ticket must be clearly displayed if your vehicle is parked in one of those areas, if you do not display the ticket you may be issued a Penalty Charge Notice.
Documentary evidence
Documentary evidence is required with your first application using the online permit system.
Proof of residence
A check will be made of the Council Tax and Electoral Roll records to verify residence. However, if you are not named on these records, you will need to provide either:
- a current tenancy agreement, or
- a bank statement less than 3 months old.
Proof of vehicle ownership
- registration document V5 pages 1 and 2 (the vehicle must be registered to the property and applicant)
- schedule of insurance, showing name and address (only if vehicle is new to you or you have just moved to the area)
- company vehicles - a letter is required from the company to confirm the resident is the keeper of the vehicle, as well as registration document or lease agreement.

To apply by post, download and complete the beach and parks resident ticket application form and enclose your cheque/postal order, made payable to BCP Council, together with photocopies of the supporting documents as set out on the form and post the application to:
