The New Sustainable Travel Network

The multi-million-pound TCF investment will fund 78 km of new cycling and walking routes and use smart technology to provide improved bus travel options and create green travel hubs in south east Dorset, all aimed at offering environmentally friendly, safer and quicker journeys to work, education and leisure.

Six new sustainable travel routes are proposed.

Initial public engagement on outline plans for the routes was undertaken in November and December last year. This was used to inform the proposed design plans. A report summarising responses from this initial engagement is available at: https://haveyoursay.bcpcouncil.gov.uk/5509/widgets/22186/documents/9779

Public consultation on TCF’s six proposed sustainable travel routes across south east Dorset was undertaken in two phases between February and June 2021.

A report summarising the results of public consultation undertaken 24 February to 31 March is available here and the report for consultation undertaken 10 May to 14 June is planned to be published at the end of September subject to TCF Board approval.
