Trip End Facilities Grant Scheme for Businesses


Cycle to work SmlThank you for your interest in the Transforming Cities Fund Trip End Facilities Grant for Businesses. 

The aim of this new grant scheme is to encourage more employees (and employers) to adopt sustainable forms of transport to commute to and from work.  It also aims to promote the use of the 78km network of new sustainable travel routes, currently being delivered across south east Dorset as part of the Transforming Cities Fund programme.

If you’re a business with employees, located within 2km from one of the six Transforming Cities Fund sustainable travel routes and you have a genuine and long-term commitment to encouraging your employees’ choose low carbon or carbon free travel to work, then this scheme is for you.

The grant scheme can help you install ‘trip end’ facilities costing up to £20,000 such as bike parking/storage, showers, lockers, bike repair stands, outdoor bike pumps, clothes drying facilities and electric bike charging points with a possible grant of up to £20,000.

Cycle Friendly Employer accreditation scheme

Businesses applying for grant funding under this scheme, must commit to take part in Cycling UK’s Cycle Friendly Employer scheme. For the grant application they must show that they have applied for accreditation. Grant funds will not be released until they have been awarded a minimum of bronze accreditation.

DON’T PANIC! The bronze standard is not difficult to achieve, but please note that Cycling UK charges an administration fee to cover the assessment and accreditation costs.
