TCF Programme Partners

Working in Partnership

BCP and Dorset councils are working together to deliver this extensive programme. They are also working in partnership with a number of national and local organisations to ensure that relevant, informed and far-reaching change to local travel is created.

These partners include:

Public Health Dorset

Public Health Dorset will help us to promote the health and wellbeing benefits of the TCF programme and help us review and interpret data relating to air quality and health indices.

Bus operator partnership

We are working closely with Morebus to help us deliver changes to bus infrastructure across the conurbation. We will speed up journey times and introduce more reliable route times. We'll also work with them to roll out a new smart travel app that will enable users to transfer their ticket from one bus operator to another.

New Beryl Bikes are available to hire from Beryl Bays in Christchurch, Wimborne, Colehill, West Parley, West Moors and Ferndown. They can be hired at a reasonable cost via the free to download Beryl app.

Cycling UK

Cycling UK will help us deliver end-of-trip facilities for employers/businesses, linking the programme’s End of Trip Facilities Grant Scheme with their Cycle Friendly Employer Accreditation Scheme. Cycling UK will, at a later stage, conduct assessments and certificates when businesses pass their assessments.

Sustrans

We will be working in partnership with Sustrans to hold a Commuter Challenge event at a future date, once the current coronavirus pandemic situation allows.

University partnerships

The importance of improving travel and access for all university users is essential, particularly where it is focused towards sustainable travel. The TCF Programme will enhance connectivity and access by sustainable modes from residential areas within the south-east Dorset city region, as well as working with both universities to improve end-of-trip facilities for staff and students.
