Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP)

SWEP is not currently active.

It was last active Tuesday 21 January.

Rough sleeping is always dangerous, but during winter weather it is especially harmful as conditions can threaten the safety and wellbeing of people who are sleeping rough.

The Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) is to ensure that vulnerable people are protected and provided for during severe weather.

St Mungo's, the rough sleeper team, will be making every effort to offer shelter to all people sleeping rough in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, by providing emergency accommodation.
