Do you want to make a difference to people's lives?
Could you be Proud to Care?
Across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole we're looking for a wide variety of care and support workers to support vulnerable people who need help. There are a range of jobs available NOW in a number of different settings. Our Proud to Care campaign showcases what it's like to work as a carer in each of these settings, to give you an idea of what each job role involves - and hopefully encourage you to apply for the jobs available through the links on each page below.
Watch our short video below to find out what Katherine, who works in a residential care home; Dominic, who works in home care; Laura, a social care personal assistant; and Emma, who works in supported living, have to say about their careers in care.

Being a carer isn't about specific qualifications, all you need are the right qualities such as a patient nature, a friendly face, good communication skills and a desire to help people. Once you start your career, you'll often receive on-the-job training and ongoing support to enable you to get the most out of your job, and you'll be making a real difference to the everyday lives of the people you care for.
Being a care worker offers:
- Competitive rates of pay
- flexible hours, creating an excellent home / work balance
- ongoing training
Being a driver or owning a car is not necessary, we have walking routes where you can visit on foot near your home, or we can offer the loan of e-cycles. For those that can drive, companies may be able to offer parking permits.
Click each link below and find out more about the different job roles and what they all entail, and meet our carers who are doing fantastic jobs in each of the care settings, and their clients who rely on the support and friendship from them.
