People identified as ‘clinically extremely vulnerable’ have been advised to self-isolate. This type of self-isolation is often referred to as ‘shielding’.
The government has set out steps to relax shielding guidance. If you or a member of your family is shielding, find out how these changes will affect you, and when, by staying up to date with the latest government advice.
Government food parcels and priority supermarket slots
Access to priority supermarket delivery slots for shielding residents will continue to be available to those who signed up for support.
- New registrations for food support will close on 17 July
- Government food parcels for those receiving them will stop on 31 July
- Priority supermarket delivery slots will continue after 31 July
Shielding residents who need support to access food can contact our Together We Can helpline. We can provide advice and arrange volunteers if you need help with your shopping.
The helpline telephone number is 0300 123 7052 or you can request help using our online form.
