Support for the self employed
If you are self-employed and your business has been affected by COVID-19, the Self-employment Income Support Scheme could help you.
This is a temporary scheme. Applications for the first grant end on 13 July 2020. You can claim a second and final grant in August 2020.
The scheme allows self-employed individuals or partnerships to claim a taxable grant of 80% of your average monthly trading profits, paid out in a single instalment covering 3 months. This is capped at £7,500 altogether.
You and your business must meet the criteria in order to receive the grant. You should check the gov.uk guidance on who can claim to make sure you meet the latest criteria.
