Our response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

We are working with Public Health England, the NHS and other organisations to take all the necessary steps to contain and delay the virus and to ensure we are well prepared as the situation develops.

Our priority is to ensure critical local services to residents continue to run and that we are directing people to the most up-to-date official sources of information and advice.

What is We are doing to minimise risk and maintain services?

BCP Council, NHS services and Public Health England are well prepared for outbreaks of infectious diseases such as Coronavirus (COVID-19).

We continue to follow the Government’s coronavirus action plan which sets out the measures we need to put into place. As a local authority, we have robust business continuity plans in place to ensure the continued delivery of our critical services.

A Corporate Incident Management Team (CIMT) has been established and includes representatives from across BCP Council. The CIMT is meeting regularly to monitor the progress being made on the council’s business continuity plans and to manage issues as they arise and as the advice from government continues to evolve.
