Food businesses: urgent call for help
Here's how you can help
Are you a local butcher or greengrocer? Perhaps you run a newsagent or other local food business?
If so, then the community urgently needs your help in providing essential items to those in need.
Groceries and meal deliveries
We have a list of local businesses in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole who can take food and grocery orders over the phone or online and deliver directly to people’s doors, whether they are vulnerable or self isolating.
If you offer a delivery service for groceries or meals (a service that is not normally found on Just Eat or Deliveroo), then let us know by filling in this form.
Your listing will then be added to our grocery and meal delivery directory, which can be found here.
Donations of food, time and equipment
Would you like to donate food to those in need? There is a thriving community food network who distribute food throughout the conurbation. We are developing strong neighbourhood links during this crisis, and we would like to encourage donations to causes local to you. That might be to a pop-up pantry, community fridge, food bank or a group delivering community meals.
To connect with community food projects in your local area please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. (link to email with subject heading Business Food Donation)
Donating Equipment, Space or Other
Can you provide other food related support such as vans, drivers, kitchens, storage or equipment? Fill in this simple form and let us know what corporate offers of support you can provide.
Want to get in touch with us? You can email us at: email@example.com
Please share this with any other local shop, pub or food premises you know that can take part and support.
