Social distancing guide - keep left and keep your distance

We've put measures in place to help you maintain social distancing in public spaces.

Keep left and keep your distance

We're asking people to "keep left" as well as "keep your distance", to support social distancing.

Signs have been placed on lamp columns, stuck to bins, placed on the ground and wrapped around pedestrian bollards.

We've worked with businesses across the area to offer support, guidance and resources on how to keep customers safe.

How keep left works

Signage has been placed on footpaths and in pedestrian areas, as well as at road crossing points, on the beach promenade and on beach zig-zags.

People will need to keep to the left hand side in the direction they are travelling, so that those walking in the opposite direction can pass them on the right.
