Children's centres and Early Help Services

Early Help Family Hubs/Children’s Centres will remain open during the national lockdown commencing 5 November. The services we are able to continue providing are based on government guidance are below.

Early Help Family Hub Direct Services – support for the most vulnerable families

  • open hubs for information, advice and guidance, food bank vouchers, breast pump loans, signposting both face to face and by telephone
  • parenting course delivery – small groups and one to one
  • communication speech and language – small groups and one to one face to face
  • early help family support – including home visits
  • home learning and wellbeing interventions - small groups and one to one face to face
  • virtual activity

Early help family hubs – NHS essential services

  • midwifery appointments
  • health visiting appointments
  • newborn hearing tests
  • other essential health services
