The Register Offices in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole have all re-opened for appointments.

We will contact everyone who needs to register a birth in date order, starting with babies born in February.  There are a large number of births to register, so it will take some time before we are up to date. 

There are new processes in place for appointments.

The first part of the appointment will be on the phone, to reduce the amount of time spent face to face.

Before you attend for your face to face appointment, please make sure you read the advice which will be sent to you via email once you have an appointment booked in.

Restrictions on claiming benefits have been relaxed. You can still claim child benefit if you have not been able to register the birth.
