Household Support Fund

Supporting our local communities over the winter months

The coronavirus pandemic has had a negative impact on many people who are struggling financially as a result.

We’ve launched our Together We Can Household Support scheme to help vulnerable families and individuals across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole with access to food and support in paying energy bills.

If you are in financial hardship and need support to afford food

There are a number of ways to access food in your local community through local foodbanks, fridges and pantries.

Find out what community food providers are close to you using our community food map.

If you are a household with children, you may be eligible for food vouchers to support your family during the school holidays. Food vouchers are being provided to households with children through early years settings, schools and colleges.

If you are in financial hardship and need support to keep warm in your home

Applications for the Household Support Fund Winter Warmth Support programme are still open for new applicants until 30 April 2022.

If you are worried about the increased energy prices and rise in the cost of living then please contact Citizens Advice BCP on their Adviceline, 0808 278 7393 or via their website https://www.citizensadvicebcp.org.uk/.
