All children aged 4 to 11 are invited to join the Summer Reading Challenge. This year the theme is Ready, Set, Read!  Together with the Youth Sports Trust, libraries will encourage children to enjoy reading, sport, and play.

Sign up for free at your local BCP library from Saturday 8 July and receive a fun pack. Borrow books and collect stickers and rewards along the way.

Read 6 books and you will receive a certificate and Children over 4 a medal. Library staff and volunteers can help children discover new books to read over the summer holidays and we also run a programme of free themed activities.

The summer edition of our What’s On leaflet includes all activities we have on over the summer, including the challenge and our competition to design a mascot! Alternatively, children can take part online.
