Strouden Woods

Some of the largest woodland in Bournemouth.

Strouden Woods is an excellent site for nature spotting, with many different types of trees and lots of excellent habitats for animals.

There are lots of birds too, including the smallest British bird, the goldcrest. The woods and open spaces are equally popular with butterflies.

You can get to the woods from several points around the area.

There’s a cycle path and paved track, running from Bradpole Road to Mallard Close, which is suitable for wheelchair users.
