Blue Flag Awards  

The Blue Flag Awards recognise beaches for their water quality, environmental management and safety.

Currently there are 12 Blue Flag Award-winning beaches in the area.

Poole area Blue Flag beaches

• Friars Cliff.

Seaside awards  

All our 12 Blue Flag beaches have also received Seaside Awards from Keep Britain Tidy. Beaches at Bournemouth and Boscombe have also won this award.  

Green tourism awards

Bournemouth seafront is a 3-time winner of the Green Tourism Business Scheme award. It recognises areas in which energy is used efficiently and waste reduction targets are in place.
