Our Beach Check app has a traffic light system to help both visitors and residents avoid busy hotspots.

To use the map find the area of beach you are interested in visiting and if it’s green then it’s quiet, orange means the area is starting to get busier and red means the beach is very busy and we recommend that you find a quieter spot. You can also click on the area of the beach which provides more information such as if there is a lifeguard on duty or whether the beach allows dogs.
