Advice for homeless families

If you’re homeless now, or will be in the next 56 days, you should request a housing needs assessment.

If you’re not going to be homeless in the next 56 days, you should look at your housing options, and read our homelessness advice.

If you are in privately rented accommodation you should also get in contact with our early prevention team. They specialise in helping you stay in your rented home.

There is a range of support available for families who are homeless. After a housing needs assessment, your housing options advisor will agree a Personal Housing Plan with you to support you into settled accommodation.

This might be with support from a housing intervention officer, family outreach worker or money advice officer.
