The Dorset Register of Accredited Landlords (DRAL) is a database of private landlords accredited by a nationally recognised scheme.

How to join the DRAL

To join the DRAL, you first need to register and become accredited with one of the following associations or schemes:

Then complete your application form which should include a list of the rental properties you own, and email it to us at privatesector.housing@bcpcouncil.gov.uk.

We’ll then send you your certificate, which you can display, confirming your membership.

To keep your accredited status, remember to log any modules or training events you attend within your ‘Continued Professional Development’ record.

Benefits

Accreditation with a national scheme gives you access to online development modules and courses, as well as the chance to attend seminars, landlord liaison meetings and information days.

As a Bournemouth, Christchurch or Poole-based landlord, joining the DRAL also has these benefits:

  • discounted house in multiple occupation licence fees
  • grants for insulation work
  • invitations to accredited Certificate of Professional Development training
