Annual household canvass (electoral register) - change to service

Every year we ask all properties to check who is eligible to register to vote (this is part of our annual household canvass). We are required by law, to contact every household to obtain and confirm the names of residents. 

This year between June and September you may receive an email from us (BCP Council Electoral Services) with ‘Act now so BCP Council can check who is eligible to be registered to vote at your address’ as the subject.

It will ask you to confirm your details at, and include:

  • your security codes
  • steps on how to access your household details

Not everyone will be sent an email, some residents will still be contacted by post.
