Our planning system provides opportunities for local people to take part in making key decisions that will affect their communities.
We think this is essential in creating and delivering inclusive, accessible and safe sustainable communities.
BCP Council has inherited three legacy Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)s from the preceding Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole councils, all adopted 2015 and 2016. These set out how the community could be involved in influencing and shaping the ways the areas in which they live and work would develop over time.
We are consulting on a proposed new SCI between 7th October 2019 to 18th November 2019.
