The National Key Scheme operated by the Royal Association for Disability Rights provides access to 9,000 locked public toilets for disabled people around the UK.

Eligibility for a RADAR key

The key can be purchased for £5 by anyone with a permanent disability. You'll need to provide evidence to support this.

Radar keys can be purchased at Tourist Information Centres and on the RADAR website.

Evidence for a RADAR key

Examples of suitable evidence include:

• Blue Badge for disabled parking
• a hospital/GP letter
• any letter referring to the payment of Disability Living Allowance or another disability benefit.

Once purchased, the key can be used around the country, for as long as you require it, wherever the RADAR symbol is displayed.
