Health Workers offer a holistic assessment for young people coming to the attention of Dorset Combined Youth Justice Service.

Out of Court Disposals

Out of Court Disposals are considered for any young person who has committed a low-level offence.

A Referral Order is a contract agreed between the young person and panel members to prevent reoffending.

Restorative justice

The YJS Restorative Justice Practitioners work with the victim and young person using restorative justice to find a positive resolution to any harm caused.

Youth Rehabilitation Order

A Youth Rehabilitation Order (YRO) is a community sentence used by the courts, usually for children who commit offences after completing a Referral Order.
