DIY waste

Any waste that is disposed of in the soil and rubble skip such as ceramic basins and toilet pans and cisterns is DIY waste. No charge will be made for ceramic plates and plant pots which are classified as household waste. If you have these items, you will be asked to put them in a different container.

Other disposal options

At our recycling centres in Bournemouth and Poole, waste can be taken to the Commercial Weighbridge where a charge will be made at the weighbridge. Depending on the quantity of waste to be disposed we, as well as other private companies, operate a skip and grab bag service (similar to Hippo bags).

It is worth checking websites such as Freecycle as there maybe someone who is after the material you wish to get rid of.
