Bournemouth Development Company
Bournemouth Development Company (BDC) are a 50:50 partnership between BCP Council and Muse Developments (a Morgan Sindall Group company), who work to develop council-owned land assets in Bournemouth town centre.
BDC offers a long-term investment through a model known as a Local Asset-Backed Vehicle.
Our investment to the partnership is assets such as land, which are matched in value with a cash injection from the partner, Muse Developments. Morgan Sindall was chosen following a competitive tender process governed by strict European Union procurement rules.
Bournemouth Towns Fund
Bournemouth has secured almost £22million as part of the Government’s ‘Town Deal’ programme to turbo charge ambitious regeneration plans for Boscombe.
FuturePlaces
BCP FuturePlaces Limited was an Urban Regeneration Company wholly owned by BCP Council with a remit to create new and revitalised neighbourhoods with more homes, jobs and businesses to benefit local residents.
In September 2023, in response to the changing economic environment, we took the decision to close the company. This has enabled us to bring together its current in-house regeneration activity, including its Housing Delivery Team, to enable greater focus and capacity for delivering homes and jobs on sites owned, or controlled, by us.
