We are talking to local residents and businesses across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole as part of independent research to understand how people feel and connect with their local neighbourhoods, high streets, town centres and the region as a whole.

The Big Conversation will help us understand what people love about our place, as well as what they would like to see in the future.

This work will inform how we make our area one of the best coastal places in which to live, work, invest and play.

As part of our Big Plan we are committed to delivering big changes across our whole area, supporting the creation of 13,000 jobs across all sectors of our economy, delivering new homes at the highest quality at all levels of affordability for local residents, and building a thriving environment for our businesses.

To make this happen at pace we have created a wholly owned urban regeneration company FuturePlaces to take forward our placemaking role and responsibilities.

The Big Conversation is the start of this work and will ensure we take forward future plans with quality of life at the centre. We want to create vibrant and affordable places in neighbourhoods that are safe and attractive, and offer a sense of belonging for our local communities.

The Big Conversation is separate to the current work underway around the Local Plan.
