Following the acquisition of Bournemouth International Airport by Regional and City Airports (part of the Rigby Group) in December 2017, the operating group is working to double passenger numbers to 1.5 million by 2022, continuing to grow the year-round European leisure flights and holidays market.

Destinations further afield are offered through occasional charters to support cruises and long-haul holidays. BCP Council is ensuring a co-ordinated approach to planning, access and economic development in relation to the airport.
