There is no set maintenance schedule for benches. They are kept in good condition and have repairs when necessary. Certain repairs will be prioritised such as broken or damaged seating that may cause injury. The cost of the bench helps to support this care and repair.

If your bench needs to be repaired, please email commemorate@bcpcouncil.gov.uk with the seat ID number from your agreement or the location using GPS or the What 3 Words app. Please include a description of the repairs needed and a photo if possible.

If you are not able to locate your bench, it could be that it has been removed for repair. If your bench has been removed and is beyond repair we will attempt to find another existing bench as near to your location as possible. We always try to inform you of any removals but in some urgent cases this may not be possible. Please email us with the bench details to enable us to resolve the issue.
